Blue Flower Mandala

Original blue flower mandala painting on a 10 inch round stretched canvas. Painted with a black acrylic base and covered with a few layers of matte varnish. I has so much fun painting this piece and love the way it turned out. Colours in the painting are brilliant blue (white added to gradually lighten the blue and pale yellow for the center). 

A mandala (in Sanskrit – literally means"circle") is a geometric configuration of symbols. In various spiritual traditions, mandalas can be used for focusing attention, as a spiritual guidance tool, for establishing a sacred space and as an aid to meditation.
