Purple Flower Mandala

Original purple flower mandala painting on a 10 inch round stretched canvas. Painted with a sky blue acrylic base and covered with a few layers of matte varnish. Colours in the painting are burnt sienna, burnt umber, pure gold, 24k gold, purple, plum, bright yellow and titanium white. This painting was created with joy. I create each piece with intention and often in a very meditative state. 

A mandala (in Sanskrit – literally means"circle") is a geometric configuration of symbols. In various spiritual traditions, mandalas can be used for focusing attention, as a spiritual guidance tool, for establishing a sacred space and as an aid to meditation.
